Chard sweet potatoes

Chard & sweet potato puree

+4 months

Sweet potatoes are great for beginning eaters. Chard, on the other hand, is usually less popular with the little ones. The two together make good friends though.

Ingredients for 2 portions

  • 1 sweet potato

  • 40 g swiss chard

  • 1 tsp olive oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven at 180°C and cook the potato (whole, skin still on) for 45 minutes to an hour. Your fork should go through easily when they're cooked. Once cooked, take them out of the oven to cool down a bit.

  2. Wash chard thoroughly as it tends to carry a lot of dirt. Remove the stem from the leaf, since it's usually quite hard. Chop up the leaves and steam or cook in boiling water for about 10 minutes.

  3. Remove the skin of the sweet potatoes and blend them together with the chard until completely smooth. Add the olive oil and you're done.
