Can my baby eat Plum

From +4 months

Are plums healthy for children?

Because of the fiber in plums they really benefit the digestive system. They're rich in vitamin A and C and potassium. Great baby food! You can give dried plums -called prunes- , cut into small pieces, from the age of 10 months. Just know that they contain much more sugar than the fresh kind but they're a good option especially when your baby is a bit constipated.

How to serve plums

Peel the plum and remove the stone. After a few months you can leave the peel on but it's still a bit difficult to chew in the beginning. You can then make a puree or serve it as a finger food, taking into account the appropriate finger food sizes for your baby's age.
