Can my baby eat Ketchup

From +1 year

Is ketchup healthy for children?

Ketchup is a popular condiment but not necessarily the healthiest. It contains a lot of sugar (in the form of corn syrup) and also some salt, which are both ingredients you should avoid for children, especially before the age of 1 year. If you want to serve ketchup after your child's first birthday, do so in very small amounts. Know that every spoonful of ketchup contains 4 grams of sugar. That's why we recommend waiting to serve ketchup as long as possible, or serve it on occasion in small quantities.

How to serve ketchup

Always serve small quantities of ketchup and don't serve it with every meal. Put it on the side so the food is not covered in ketchup.
