Can my baby eat Grapefruit

From +4 months

Is grapefruit healthy for children?

Grapefruits are tricky because they are quite bitter. However, they are basically made up of water and fiber, so great for hydration and digestion. On top of that they're rich in vitamins (mainly A and C) and minerals so it's worth giving it a try. Try mixing a bit of grapefruit juice with orange or tangerine juice to sweeten it up. Gradually you can increase the amount of grapefruit juice, great bitter palate training for your baby!

How to serve grapefruit

You can squeeze out the juice for your child to drink or you can cut the flesh into small pieces (take off the skin around each piece to avoid choking). You can also use the juice to make a fruit puree a bit smoother.
