Can my baby eat Corn

From +4 months

Is corn healthy for children?

Sweet corn is a healthy food for your baby. It's high in starch but also high in fiber, so it will leave your baby feeling full for a while. It's also rich in vitamins (mostly vitamin C and vitamins B) and minerals such as magnesium and potassium. Corn's sweet taste makes it a food that most babies like very much.

How to serve corn

Don't give whole kernels of corn to your baby before they're one year old to avoid the risk of choking. You can give corn on the cob from the age of 6 months or you can serve it in a puree. You can also give corn products such as polenta or cornmeal. Avoid giving processed corn products since they're likely made of a less nutritious type of corn.
