Can my baby eat Chia

From +6 months

Is chia healthy for children?

Chia is absolutely recommended if you're raising your child vegetarian or vegan, since it's the richest plant source of omega 3. It's a complete protein, containing all essential amino acids. When serving chia start slow, with no more than a teaspoon at first, since they can have a laxative effect. Don't worry about it though, you might just have to change 1 or 2 diapers more.

How to serve chia

You can make a chia pudding by soaking some seeds in a liquid like water or milk. After 15 minutes it forms a gel that you can stir through yoghurt, porridge or pudding. You can also soak chia seeds in milk overnight for a quick breakfast.
