Can my baby eat Apple

From +4 months

Are apples healthy for children?

Apples are a great first food for your baby. They contain a lot of fiber and a chemical called quercetin, which has an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect. The flavors from apples can vary from very sweet to more sour. Start with the sweeter variety and include some more sour ones after a few tries.

How to serve apples?

The first few months you'll still need to remove the skin, since it's still too hard to digest. From the age of 8 months you can leave on the skin and grate it, along with the rest of your apple. You can give the apples raw, grated, or you can cook them in a bit of water until they become soft and serve them as a finger food taking into account the appropriate finger food sizes.
