Sweet potatoes are great for beginning eaters. The sweet flavor will be not too far removed of the sweet milk your baby is used to.

Ingredients for 1 portion

  • 1 small sweet potato

  • 1 tsp olive oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven at 180°C/350°F and cook the potato (whole, peel still on) for 45 minutes to an hour. Your fork should go through easily when they're cooked.

  2. Remove the skin and mash the potatoes with a fork until completely smooth. Add the olive oil and you're done.

Also joining the table?

Season the puree with pepper and salt and make a dressing to go on top. Combine lemon juice and olive oil, chopped coriander, chopped parsley and chopped basil. Add some pepper & salt and you're done!
