Creamy spinach tomato pasta

Spinach & tomato pasta

+6 months

This pasta is easy to make, delicious and nutritious. Spinach can be tricky for babies to eat because of the texture so make sure to blend it well or chop it very finely.

Ingredients for 1 portion

  • 50 g fresh spinach (you can also use frozen spinach)

  • 30 g pasta (a bit more or less depending on age and appetite)

  • 1 big tomato

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 0.25 tsp oregano

  • 1 tbsp milk (any milk you prefer)

Preparation

  1. In a large pan of boiling water, submerge the tomato for 1 minute and cook the spinach also for about 1 minute, then drain and let it cool down.

  2. Remove the skin and the crown from the tomato and chop roughly.

  3. In a food processor, add the spinach, tomato, oregano and milk. Blend it roughly by pulsing and add the olive oil.

  4. Cook the pasta as indicated on the package and stir it through the sauce. If your baby is 6 to 12 months old, you can blend the pasta along with the sauce to either make a smooth or chunky puree. If your baby is older than 1 year, just cut the pasta finely and stir through the sauce.
