Carrot puree
As your baby is now at the age where they can start eating solids, let's introduce the very first veggies. Carrots are a great place to start. Don't freak out if your little one really doesn't like it at first, start with one spoon, try again the next day and the next. Follow your baby's pace.
Ingredients for 1 portion
Preparation
Peel the carrots and chop off the ends. Chop the carrot into medium sized pieces.
Steam or cook the carrots in boiling water. Make sure they are well cooked and nice and soft. Drain them but save the cooking liquid.
With your fork or a blender, turn it into a soft puree and make sure there are no lumps. You can add some cooking liquid to make it less thick. Look for the consistency of marmalade and finish with the olive oil.
