Can my baby eat Sugar snap peas

From +4 months

Are sugar snap peas healthy for children?

Sugar snap peas are, like the name would suggest, sweet in taste and loaded with vitamin C. They're also a good source of fiber and protein, of vitamin K, iron and potassium. Since they're so rich in vitamin C, you might want to serve them alongside an iron rich vegetable, since vitamin C increases the iron intake.

How to serve sugar snap peas

Be careful, because of their round shape, peas out of the pod are a common choking hazard. Cook the peas and always serve them as a puree or crush them before serving as finger food. You can also serve sugar snap peas in the pod but make sure the peas don't pop out by crushing them in the pod. Always take into account fingerfood do's and don'ts.
