Can my baby eat Squid

From +1 year

Common allergen:

Shellfish

Is squid healthy for children?

Squid, when served in moderation, is a healthy addition to your baby's diet. However, it is worth mentioning that replacing seafood for plant based products on occasion is not only good for your baby's health, but also for the environment. Squid is a very good source of protein and omega-3 as well, and it contains lots of selenium which will boost your baby's immune system.

How to serve squid

Always serve squid cooked all the way through. You can pan-fry squid in a bit of olive oil or prepare it in the oven. You can also boil it in water with a bit of salt. Squid can have a chewy texture so chop it up finely so your baby doesn't have too much work chewing it.
