Can my baby eat Pineapple

From +6 months

Is pineapple healthy for children?

A pineapple is really a nutritional powerhouse and definitely a good addition to your baby's diet. They contain a large variety of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and have anti-inflammatory properties. Since pineapples are very sour, start with small quantities and build your way up.

How to serve pineapple

You can serve the pineapple by removing the skin and the hard core. Since the fruit is quite hard, it's good to blend it if you're serving it to young babies. Pineapples are generally also quite sour, so if your baby is not a fan, you can stir some pineapple puree into yoghurt or mix it with some banana.
