Can my baby eat Olives

From +6 months

Are olives healthy for children?

Olives actually contain a lot of the nutrients your baby needs. They're very rich in vitamin E, but also in vitamin A and C. The black variety is also rich in iron and contains a good amount of fiber. They're also packed with antioxidants that will help promote your baby's health. However, they are very high in sodium. This means you can let your baby try a bit of olive from the age of 6 months, but don't give them regularly yet. When your baby is one year old, you can give various kinds of olives more regularly.

How to serve olives

Remove the stone and chop very finely. You can serve it in a warm or cold dish. If served as finger food, make sure to quarter the olives lengthwise.
