Can my baby eat Mustard

From +1 year

Is mustard healthy for children?

Mustard is quite a strong, peppery condiment, made out of mustard seeds. It can range from mild to very hot and it's quite high in sodium. Mustard seeds, however, do also have some antioxidant and antibacterial properties, which will help support your baby's growing body. The impact of these benefits will be small since portions will also be small but you can safely add some mustard or mustard seeds to your cooking as soon as your baby is one year old.

How to serve mustard

Add a small amount of mustard or mustard seeds to sauces to spice them up a bit. Don't give pure mustard as a condiment to your baby.
