Can my baby eat Feta

From +1 year

Is feta healthy for children?

Feta cheese is a cheese made out of sheep's and/or goat's milk. Due to its high sodium content, it's best to wait until your child is about 1 year old to serve feta, which is different for other types of goat's cheese, which can be served already after 6 months. Feta is a great flavour maker though, and it's a good source of calcium, which your baby's bones really need. Aside from that it contains protein, another vital nutrient, as well as B vitamins and essential minerals.

How to serve

You can add feta cheese to a salad, spread it on a bit of bread or crumble it over a warm dish.
