Can my baby eat Celery

From +6 months

Is celery healthy for children?

Celery is known as a diet food for a reason, it's extremely low in calories and is just really not that nutrient dense. It does provide a good amount of vitamins (mainly A, C and K) and antioxidants. Its salt content on the other hand is relatively high. To conclude, you can safely give celery to your baby, both raw and cooked, but not as a main part of the diet.

How to serve celery

You can serve celery both raw and cooked. Wait with serving raw celery sticks until your baby is at least 18 months old. Cooked celery can be part of a puree or can be used in stew or sauces.
